View active Power Plan in Windows 11/10

1] Via Power Options
This is one of the easiest options to check the active power plan in Windows 10. Here are the steps: Alternatively, you can open Control Panel > Power Options.
This will open a separate Power Options window where you will see the active power plan selected already. Other power plans will also visible there.
2] Using Command Prompt
There is a built-in utility in Windows 10 called Powercfg.exe that can be used with Command Prompt window to view the active power plan. These are the steps: This will show you the active power plan along with Power Scheme GUID.
3] Windows PowerShell
Like Command Prompt, you can use Windows PowerShell to show an active power plan with the help of the Powercfg utility. The steps are as follows: This will show the list of all the available power plans. The first one with the asterisk symbol will be the active power plan.
4] Using PowerPlanSwitcher Microsoft Store app
If you want, you can also use this free PowerPlanSwitcher app available on Microsoft Store to view the active power plan as well as the other power plans. Though the app is mainly helpful to switch from one power plan to another, it also shows the currently active power plan. After installation, launch the app and it will start running in the system tray of Taskbar. Next, click on its system tray icon and it will show the active power plan and other plans. Alternatively, you can also right-click on its tray icon and it will show the current power plan with a checkmark and other power plans.
5] Using Switch Power Scheme software
Switch Power Scheme is free and portable software. It is also a simpler option to view the active power plan in Windows 11/10. The interface of this tool will show you the current as well as other power plans. There are many other features provided by this tool. For example, you can use it to delete a power plan, create a new power plan, import power plans, and more. Open the homepage of this tool and download it. Extract the downloaded zip file into a folder. Access that folder and execute its EXE file to open its interface. There, it will show all the available power plans and active power plan.
